*Why* did U of M need to study this?? And, looking at the graph, WOW, am I glad I wasn't around in 1976. That's a seriously enormous amount of time to spend on housework. But there is no way you can say I do 12 hours of housework a week. Unless they let me count the garden & doggie stuff (brushing, bathing, Kong stuffing) as housework.
I blame you for the gnome in my dream last night, by the way. There I was, in a nice jungly patch of tomato plants, happily working on my plants and checking out the progress of the individual tomatoes which were forming, and there was a garden gnome standing between the Marianna's Peace plant and the Green Skinned Long Keeper. It startled me so much, it woke me up!
But then I went back to sleep and dreamed about being in Alaska and watching sled dog races, so it was all good. Still, that gnome was unexpected and scary!
I'm not sure if it was gnorm in the dream...if it was, he had grown taller (he was about 2 feet tall...). Maybe he has a big brother who is also a scary stalker gnome? If I come across him again I promise to either take a photo, or send him your way.

Hmmm, it would appear that my husband is still living by 1976 standards. But I knew that already. Grumble, grumble.
meg: Did you take a picture? That would be the ultimate -- Gnorm turning up in someone's dream!
gwynne: Yeah! Like this is news, right? I told Dirtman that it looks like it's time for an upgrade to version 2005.
